Carla Jones

Massage Therapist

Since doing her first ever massage course in Level 3 Sports Massage, Carla realised that she had a passion for massage and wanted to take things further by expanding her techniques. She then went on to study Level 3 Holistic Therapies as well as a course in Advanced Massage Techniques. In 2012 Carla moved to West Sussex from Wales and have gained 4 years experience within the spa industry. In 2015 she completed Level 4 Sports Massage at Brighton & Hove City College.

Although Carla has trained in a range of different treatments, sports massage and reflexology are the techniques which she enjoys the most. The aspect of the job she enjoys the most is helping clients to get rid of any stress and discomfort by working on areas of tension and knots, helping to keep the muscles loose, making you feel more comfortable and improving sports performance. Carla likes to help others and feels that massage is a good way of looking after the muscle tone in the body.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep & Firm Muscular Release

Deep Tissue massage is exactly what it says, its a massage which looks to get to tension which is located in deeper layers of muscle, helping your body to return to normal function, allowing you to feel more relaxed, have more energy and feel less stressed. Deep tissue massage can be applied to most areas of the body and is typically offered as a back, neck and shoulder massage or as a whole body massage.

This deeper form of massage is typically used to treat or manage chronic muscle aches or pains in areas such as the neck, upper back, lower back, legs and shoulders.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage

Releasing Tension & Stress

Remedial massage essentially does what it says on the tin! It is designed to remedy specific areas that are sore, stressed, tense and painful, through the deep massage and manipulation of muscles. Remedial massage is also good for relief from the mental and physical stresses and strains of modern life, and paradoxically aids sleep at night whilst giving you more energy through the day!

This is a deep but specific form of massage which is typically used to treat or manage chronic muscle aches or pains in areas such as the neck, upper back, lower back, legs and shoulders.

Swedish Massage

Relax & Unwind Tension

Swedish Massage is a gentle and relaxing type of massage, with the main aim to help you unwind and get rid of the tension which can be brought about by stress and physical activity. It uses long gliding strokes to relax your muscles, relax your mind and reconnect your mind and physical body.

What are the benefits of Swedish Massage?

There are various benefits associated with this relaxing style of massage including, but not exclusive to;

  • A greater sense of relaxation
  • Less muscle tension
  • Reduced pain levels

Pre-Chiropractic Massage

Pre-Chiropractic Massage

Release Tension Prior To Adjustments

When coming for a Chiropractic treatment, if you are dealing with a lot of muscular tension, it can sometimes be useful to get some of this loosened with a quick massage session before your Chiropractic adjustments. This is a much more brief session compared to normal, lasting only 10 minutes, but is typically enough to get you ready for your Chiropractic session.
